Favourite Bakeries

I write this blog post today after 9 days of juice fasting (6 with only juice). We are at the summer house in Tjurkö/Sturkö where the local bakery's favourite product is "rågbullar". They are delicious buns which are about 20 x 12 x 8 cm. They are eaten by cuttin them in half and toasting them in the oven. Then to eat, you take one of the halfs and cut it in half again and put butter, cheese and jam on them. The joy of this breakfast treat!


This is one of my favourites and my other favourites are: the Kardemumma bullar and Italian sour dough bread from Valhalla Bageriet in Stockholm (see photo); The GI bread from Sanna bakery in Göteborg and for pure health loaded with seeds and fruit is Delicius' Skärgårdsbröd in Gustavsberg.


Most towns in Sweden have some place where you can find freshly baked products - bread, "bullar" and other products famous for the Swedish Fika. Let us know your favourites!
