If you want to stay in Stockholm in the quaint area if Södermalm but don't want to spend a lot of money on hotels or want something a little more personal and off the main street - the Columbus Hotel is a great spot.
It is a small and personal hotel situated in a building from 1780. The location is quiet and peaceful, without disturbing traffic, and with the beautiful Katarina Church as their nearest neighbour.
The rooms have comfortable beds, high ceilings and period style decor. There is a lovely outdoor terrace/courtyard where you can eat meals or just relax and read the paper.
